SUMMER TRIALS UNVEILED

A surprise news conference was held earlier today amidst speculation that Munjen Portugal could end their transfer window without a signing.

As was stated by the board regarding their hush-hush approach, club chairman Martin Mort has now unveiled two of the most talented upcoming stars that they have snatched over the summer.

The man they nickname "The Fortress" has arrived in Munjen. Thinesh completed his move from Commandos FC late yesterday evening after passing a medical. The move was made to strengthen the defence which has been Munjen's Achilles heel.

"Thinesh and Azhar would make a very good backline. Both are commanding and they seem to understand each other better after the trials. They are able to cover for each other as and when needed," club chairman Mort was quoted.

Another up and coming versatile midfielder unveiled was Muru. Both were brought in from CFC for an undisclosed fee.

Asked how he felt joining a club like Munjen, he said, "It is of great pleasure to be here. The fans are great and the players have quality. I'm relatively new here so I will need time to get to know my team mates.

"However, I will still need to continue to work hard and fight for my place in the team. It's healthy competition."

Manager Jac has said that both players will most likely make their official debut against Fir's Fren FC (FFFC) tomorrow at Changkat Changi Stadium.

Tickets are available on match-day from 0800hrs and shuttle service will be provided to and fro from either of these locations: Tanah Merah MRT, Simei MRT and Tampines MRT.
